FOR INVESTORS:

Angel, or seed-stage, investing offers the potential for an attractive return on investment, in addition to providing an opportunity to mentor entrepreneurs and help grow promising companies. MAINE ANGELS is the preeminent organization in Maine targeting early stage investment opportunities, and is receptive to new members. Individuals interested in joining MAINE ANGELS should contact an officer or member of MAINE ANGELS to arrange a preliminary conversation and subsequent guest attendance at a monthly meeting. Following submission of an application fee of $1,000, a completed application form, and a resume/CV, applications will be evaluated by the general membership (please see Membership Process). Once accepted for membership, one's application fee becomes non-refundable. Angel members are not legally obligated to invest in any opportunities presented by MAINE ANGELS, but should be willing and able to invest in companies that MAINE ANGELS presents to them.

Investors must be "accredited investors" (under U.S. securities laws) in order to become members of MAINE ANGELS. Generally, investors are "accredited" if they sustained an annual income of at least $200,000 or more individually, or $300,000 or more with their spouse, for the past two years and expect to have such an income during the current year, or if they have a net worth (with their spouse) of at least $1,000,000. There are separate rules governing whether trusts and other entities are accredited. Each potential MAINE ANGELS member should consult legal counsel on this important issue.

For more information on becoming a MAINE ANGELS member, please review the attached
Membership Process and/or contact an officer or member of MAINE ANGELS, or email your request to info@maineangels.org .
